Over the past two weeks I finally did what I’ve wanted to do for quite some time – explore and photograph some of London’s most iconic buildings – in particular, it’s skyscrapers.
I attempted to reach back in my mind to the times when I was learning about photography, and the casual mentions of photographers who specialised in such things. Berenice Abbott was one such photographer, who took many photographs of New York in the early-mid 20th Century. It was her images of skyscrapers from the ground that came to mind when I approached the task of photographing these monoliths of capitalism.
